How to Reset Your Password

To reset your password if you are logged in to Vault:

  1. Click the arrow to the right of "My Vault" on the header bar to display the My Vault drop-down menu. (You must be logged in; if you are not logged in, you will not see "My Vault" on the header bar.)
  2. In the My Vault drop-down menu, select My Account.
  3. On the My Account screen, click the pencil to the right of "Password."
  4. On the Change Password page, enter your old password, and then enter and confirm your new password.

    Note: Passwords are case sensitive, must be 8-128 characters, and can contain letters, numbers, and symbols.
  5. Click the Confirm button.

To reset your password if you are not logged in:

  1. On the Vault sign-in page for your institution, click the blue "Forgot Password?" link in the log-in section of the page. 
  2. In the Forgot Password pop-up, enter the email address associated with your Vault account, and then click the Reset Password button.
  3. An email with instructions for resetting your password will be emailed to the specified email address. A pop-up displays on screen to confirm an email was sent.
  4. Open the "Vault - Forgot Password" email, and click the link in the email to go to the Reset Password page.
  5. On the Reset Password page, enter and confirm your new password, and then click the Set Password button.
  6. Once the password has been successfully reset, a success message displays on-screen with a link to the applicable Vault sign-in page.
  7. Click the link to the Vault sign-in page, where you can log in with your new password.
